I am not entirely sure how "everything cool in the universe" got away with not becoming a trademark aesthetic until now. Maybe because it was formally known as "the 70's." Maybe. Personally, I would like to think that there existed for a short time a silent code amongst designers and artists that the 70's were just one decade in which humanity got it right so maybe we should spread it out, use just a little at a time. Much like petroleum, there is no way dinosaurs are coming back and dying all over again so that our greatgreatgrandchildren can ironically drive a fully restored Hummer. So please, use tailored suits if you have to, but don't add outer space. Avoid combining together anything that was considered cool in the 70's from other decades like diving gear or mermaids or sailing ships with suits and outer space. If you put it all in an amber-tinted print campaign, you've gone into the red. Don't get me wrong. Use some, a few, a little but certainly not ALL of it TOGETHER. To combine these things means that you possess power beyond your ability to properly wield and while it will look super cool and everyone will love it, it won't last.
And once it's gone, it's gone forever.
Okay fine, but don't expect me to dance.
Okay, I'll dance but don't expect me to like it...
